New York, NY (BlackNews.com) - In the early 1960's Ben Fredj, founder of Gold Star Fragrances, immigrated to the United States and began to establish a life and family in NYC. After some time, he learned of a high demand in the African community / African-American community for perfume oil that was pure and did not contain alcohol. It was difficult to get these pure oils as they were not readily available in the United States.
Ben considered this demand as much more than just a business opportunity. For him, it was the perfect way to fill a need in the community while also fulfilling his desire to bring the essence of natural surroundings in his native Tunisia to his new home, New York. So, in 1976, he began selling incense and perfume oil to the religious African communities in Manhattan's Upper West Side.
What began as a small business selling perfume oils and incense to only a few in the community for personal use, soon became a thriving business. The company's customer base and sales have continued to grow. Gold star Fragrances now sells to thousands of customers all over the United States, Central/North America and the Caribbean. Ben Started to sell to individual customers only, but now sells wholesale to business owners who want to provide their customers with the highest quality oils available in today's market.
Although it has grown considerably as a business, Gold Star Fragrances maintains its commitment to excellence and high customer satisfaction.

There are different grades of oils. The lower the grade, the less expensive it is. "Grade A" oils, which Gold Star Fragrances sells, are the finest and best quality oils around. Therefore, it carries only the highest grade of alcohol-free perfume oil available - all made from grade-A fine ingredients and raw materials from all over the world.
