SALT LAKE CITY - At any given moment, 10 percent of US drivers 16 to 24 years old are on their cellphones, University of Utah researchers have found.

So Dr. Wally Curry, a Kansas urologist with two daughters nearing driving age, and Xuesong Zhou, an assistant professor of civil engineering, have invented a solution - a key attachment that transmits a Bluetooth signal that disables a driver's cellphone while the ignition is on.

Now that's genius and no doubt will save both accidents and lives.
