Coalition Against Privatization
Day of Outreach for Healthcare Rights
On Saturday June 7th healthcare activists will hold a day of outreach
in support of the June 19th National Day of Protest Against the
Health Insurance Companies.
The June 19th protest will call for national support of H.R. 676 a
bill in the House of Representatives which would provide single-payer
national health insurance. Locally, activists are building a
movement to stop the proposed conversion of GHI/HIP into for-profit
companies. On Saturday, we will hit the streets to encourage New
Yorkers to speak out in favor of healthcare as a human right. Please
consider stopping by one of our locations or setting up a
distribution point in your neighborhood.
